Active Participation: Always feel free to ask questions and give your best effort during lessons. Your engagement is crucial for a successful learning experience.
Punctuality and Preparedness: Arrive on time with all necessary materials, including books, scale sheets, a pencil, solo pieces, and any other assigned repertoire. Being well-prepared ensures we can make the most of our lesson time.
Regular Practice: Aim for a minimum of five days of practice per week. Consistent practice is key to making noticeable progress in each lesson.
-
Months with 4 lessons: $100
Months with 5 lessons: $125
Checks, cash, or Venmo (@cailinmcgarry) are accepted.
Tuition is due the first lesson of each month. Please remember this.
Lessons will be suspended if tuition is not paid by the second lesson of the month. Your tuition not only covers the lesson but also my time in planning the highly individual personal curriculum of each student. Each student will be responsible to purchase the music necessary.
-
If a student needs to cancel a lesson due to illness, vacation, or other commitments, please make every effort to notify me at least 24 hours in advance. I understand that illness can be unpredictable, and if you're unable to provide the required notice on the day of the lesson due to sudden illness, please inform me as soon as possible. In such cases, I am committed to offering make-up lessons to ensure you receive the full value of your lessons. It's important to note that instead of monetary refunds to transfers credits, students will be offered the option of a make-up lesson.
In the rare event that I have to cancel, the lesson will always be made up.
-
Should you wish to request a make-up lesson to ensure you receive the full value of lessons paid for in a given month,
kindly reach out to me. Together, we'll collaborate to find a time that works well for both of us.
-
Please arrive promptly for your lesson at the scheduled time to ensure we make the most of our allocated time together.
Lesson times will not be extended if a student is late, and monetary refunds will not be issued for tardiness.
-
Student Initiated: If a student decides to discontinue lessons, please provide notice within the same month of cancellation. In the event notice is given after payment for the current month, the student has the option to complete the remaining prepaid lessons within that month. Opting not to continue lessons during the notice period will result in no refunds issued.
Instructor Initiated: In the rare event that it becomes necessary for the instructor to discontinue lessons, ample notice will be given, and any prepaid lessons beyond the discontinuation date will be refunded.
-
If there are concerns or reasons for considering the discontinuation of lessons, please initiate a discussion at the earliest convenience. Open communication is encouraged to address any issues and explore potential solutions.
-
Guardians are welcome to observe and take notes during lessons. To make the most of every second with the student, I kindly request that comments and questions be saved for the last 5 minutes of the lesson. Your cooperation ensures an uninterrupted and focused learning experience for the student.
